Slick Finishes specialises in GIB Stopping, Interior Plastering, Interior Painting and Exterior Painting.
Slick Finishes also specialises in all maintenance and repair of walls and ceilings. This includes but is not limited to, removing wall paper, skimming walls to a level 5 finish, repairing water damaged walls and ceilings, holes or cracks in walls and ceilings, as well as flaking and peeling paint.

Slick Finishes Ltd is a proud member of the AWCI (Association of Wall and Ceiling Industries of New Zealand). This means we are accredited plasterers and all our work meets all trade standards outlined by GIB® Site Guide 2018, USG® Finishing Drywall Systems, and Hamilton Drywall Products®. We adhere strictly to all the trade standards for plasterers outlined in these manuals and by the AWCI.
Slick Finishes also works with the highest grade paints. We are experienced in oil based paints, acrylics, stains, and polyurethane finishes.

Daniel Barry, Owner
Daniel is a highly experienced tradesman. He started out repairing and painting tennis courts in Canada in 2013 and then went on to paint interiors for Giampietri Bro's Construction until 2017 when he moved to New Zealand. He then worked as a sole trader, practicing both plastering and painting, before starting the company Slick Finishes Ltd. Daniel has worked along side many top tradesman and carries with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise.

Richard Mansfield, Covertex
Richard has over 35 years of experience working as a plaster, paint, texture spray, and texture removal contractor. Richard completed his plastering apprenticeship in the late 80's and hasn't looked back since. He has worked in New Zealand, the UK, and Canada as a tradesman. Richard is proud to be a second generation master painter and plasterer, having taken over his fathers business Covertex.
